8/8 Hess Restoration & Custom IPA Wood Scales
This razor was massive! A full one inch and a full hollow grind. An amazing specimen of a razor. It came to us pretty beat up with broken scales so we put it in IPA wood with a CA finish. These are the largest scales we’ve ever made! A truly spectacular specimen of a blade.
Hess is the name of the importing company. The full company name is the Hess Hair Milk Company. The blade was made in Solingen, Germany.
Custom Cocobolo Scales
This razor’s original black plastic scales needed to be replaced after a catastrophic break. We put brand new custom Cocobolo scales on the razor and finished them with a clear acrylic coating. The pins feature a double washer design.
Sta Sharp Rescale & Polish
Wade & Butcher Restore & Wood Scales
This Wade & Butcher was restored to its former glory and rescaled with wooden kingwood or snakewood scales.
Thiers Issard Le Grelot Rescale
This Le Grelot was rescaled with Birdseye Maple scales with a red plastic liner. Custom pins were used. The blade was given a quick touch up via our cleaning service.
